  1. 2 c Sugar

  2. 1 tb Butter or butter substitute

  3. 1/2c Sweetened condensed milk

  4. 1/2c Chopped nuts

  5. 1 c Molasses

  6. 1 ts Vanilla

  7. 1/4ts Salt

  8. 1/2c Water

  1. + Directions : Boil molasses, sugar, salt, milk, water, and butter to hard ball stage (265 ~ 270 F). Add flavoring. Spread nuts over the bottom of a well-buttered pan. Pour taffy over nuts. Cool. Pull until stiff and creamy. Cut in 1-inch pieces. Isabel Tovill, Lancaster, OH.
