  1. Wheat Roast Yield: 6 servings

  2. 2 c vital wheat gluten

  3. 2 tb nutritional yeast

  4. 2 ts cumin powder

  5. 1 ts ground coriander

  6. 1 ts garlic powder

  7. 1/2 ts onion powder

  8. 1/2 ts salt

  9. 1/2 ts black pepper

  10. 1 c water

  11. 3 tb tamari

  12. 1 tb vegetable oil

  13. 1 1/4 c additional water

  14. 1/4 c cider vinegar

  15. 1 tb dairy free margarine

  16. 1 clove garlic, sliced in half

  17. Stir in gluten flour, nutritional yeast, cumin powder, coriander,

  18. garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper, mixing well.

  19. Add tamari and oil to one cup of water and pouir into gluten mix.

  20. Knead into a rough ball and place into a slow cooker or crock pot

  21. which has been sprayed with non-stick spray.

  24. Top with margarine and garlic halves.

  25. 5 to 7 hours.

  26. Slice thinly and serve as you would roast beef.

  27. Note: This recipe can be cooked in a covered dish in a 250 degree

  28. oven for 3 or 4 hours.

  29. Note: This recipe makes a wheat roast that weighs approximately

  30. two pounds. For a four pound wheat roast, double the recipe

  31. ingredients and cook in a 6 quart crock pot.
