  1. 24 fresh oysters in the shell

  2. 1/3 cup finely chopped onion

  3. 1 tablespoon butter

  4. 1 cup frozen chopped spinach, defrosted and well drained

  5. 1/3 teaspoon McCormick California Style Garlic Powder

  6. Dash McCormick Ground Nutmeg

  7. 8 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled

  8. 2 tablespoons dry bread crumbs

  9. 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  10. Rock salt

  11. Shuck oysters. Leave oysters in deep half of shell, discarding remaining half shells.

  12. Saute onion in butter until tender. Add spinach, garlic powder and nutmeg. Cook 3-4 minutes or until heated throughout; set aside.

  13. 1/4-inch deep rock salt. Place oysters in rock salt. Spoon

  14. 1 teaspoon spinach mixture over each oyster. Top with

  15. 1/2 teaspoon bacon mixture. Bake in

  16. 450 F oven

  17. 10 minutes.
