  1. 3 1/2 oz lotus seeds, without the husks, soaked and core removed

  2. 3 1/2 oz gingko nuts, remove the shells, husk and remove the center core which is bitter

  3. 3 1/2 oz dried lily buds, soaked

  4. 1 3/4 oz dried longan

  5. 1 3/4 oz white fungus, soak and break into small pieces

  6. 12 hardboiled quail eggs

  7. 2-3 pcs pandan leaves

  8. 10 oz rock sugar

  9. 1 quart water

  1. In a saucepan, boil the pandan leaves in a liter of water.

  2. Add lotus seeds and gingko nuts and simmer for 15 minutes or until tender.

  3. Mix in the rest of the other ingredients and allow to simmer for another 15 minutes.

  4. Serve hot or cold after meal as dessert.
