  1. 1 1/2 c. flour

  2. 1 1/2 c. whole grain flour

  3. 1/2 tsp. salt

  4. 1 tsp. soda

  5. 1/4 c. shortening

  6. 1/2 c. sugar

  7. 1 egg

  8. 3/4 c. cooked cranberries (or 1/4 c. prunes or apricots)

  9. 1 c. buttermilk

  1. Cream together shortening and sugar. Add egg, then remaining ingredients. Pour into greased pans and bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
