  1. 450 ml custard , home-made or good quality shop-bought

  2. 85 g marzipan , good quality

  1. Almond custard Method 1. Heat the custard in a saucepan until almost boiling.

  2. Meanwhile, grate the marzipan and add to the hot custard. Stir until the marzipan has melted and the custard is smooth.

  3. Serve hot with your favourite pudding or fruit pie.
