  6. 1 cup Butter or margarine --see n

  7. 2 1/4 cups Sugar

  8. 2 large Eggs

  9. 5 cups All-purpose flour

  10. 1 teaspoon Baking soda

  11. 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder

  12. 1 1/2 teaspoons Ground cardamom

  13. 1/2 cup Milk

  14. Recipe by: Jo Merrillyou can also use light margarine. Soften the margarine

  15. or butter.

  16. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and 2 cups of sugar.

  17. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

  18. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and 1 teaspoon of the cardamon. Add

  19. to the creamed mixture alternately with milk.

  20. In a small bowl, combine the remaining sugar and cardamon. Dip rounded

  21. teaspoonfuls of dough into the sugar mixture. Place on greased baking sheets

  22. 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Do not

  23. overbake. Cool on wire racks.
