  1. 1 cup rice (soak in water for 1/2 hours)

  2. 2 cups water

  3. 1/2tbsp mint leaves

  4. tsp cumin seeds

  5. 1 cardamom

  6. 1 cinnamon

  7. 3 cloves

  8. 1bay leaf

  9. 1 onion (chopped)

  10. 2 green chilies (slit)

  11. 1 tomato (chopped)

  12. 1/2tbsp ghee

  13. 1/2tbsp oil

  14. Salt as per taste

  1. Heating up 1/2tbsp of ghee and 1/2tbsp of oil in a deep bottom pan

  2. Put the bay leaf, cinnamon and cardamom and cloves in hot oil

  3. Fry them for a minute

  4. Now add the chopped onions and green chili

  5. Fry the onions till it becomes translucent

  6. Now add chopped tomatoes and mint leaves

  7. Cook for a minute and add water

  8. Put salt as per taste

  9. Cover the pan and let it boil

  10. When it starts boiling add the soaked rice (drain the water) with it

  11. Cook the rice till it become half done

  12. Now remove the pan and put a tawa on the stove

  13. Put the pan on the tawa now

  14. Cover the pan and cook for 5-10 minutes

  15. Kushka rice is ready now

  16. Serve it with any favorite curry
