  1. 2 1/4 cups 533ml Water

  2. 1 cup 160g / 5.6oz White basmati rice - uncooked

  3. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Salt

  4. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Ground turmeric

  5. 1/2 cup 118ml Dry-roasted peanuts

  6. 1/2 cup 118ml Frozen petite green peas - thawed

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add rice, salt and turmeric; cover, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat; stir in peanuts and peas.

  2. This recipe yields 4 servings.
