  1. 2 cups flour

  2. 1-1/2 cups sugar

  3. 1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda

  4. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  5. 1/2 cup cocoa powder

  6. 1 cup water

  7. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  8. 3/4 cup mayonnaise (regular or vegan)

  1. Preheat oven to 350º

  2. In a mixing bowl add all dry ingredients together, then add water and vanilla.

  3. Once that is all mixed together stir in the mayo.

  4. Pour into two 9-inch round cake pans.

  5. Bake for 20 minutes, and let cool before frosting.
