  1. Acorn squash - 3 medium

  2. Butter or margarine - 1/4 cup, melted

  3. Cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon

  4. Salt - 1/2 teaspoon

  5. Ginger - 1/4 teaspoon

  6. Honey - 1/3 cup

  1. GETTING READY 1) Preheat oven to 375F.

  2. Scrub the squash.

  3. Cut lengthwise in half; remove seeds and stringy fibers.

  4. MAKING 4) In a shallow baking pan, arrange the squash qith cut side down.

  5. Surround with 1/2 inch hot water.

  6. Bake for 30 minutes.

  7. In a bowl, combine remaining ingredients.

  8. Pour off excess liquid from baking pan; turn squash cut side up.

  9. Pour sauce into cavities; bake 15 minutes, basting ocassionaly with sauce.

  10. SERVING 10) Serve the honey-spice squash at once.
