  1. Marinate Hilsa pieces with salt and turmeric. Fry slightly using any oil.

  2. Wash and soak rice for about one hour.

  3. Put rice in a strainer to remove water.

  4. Marinate rice with all the ingredients. Keep aside for 30 minutes.

  5. Heat ghee and put rice. Fry for a few minutes.

  6. Add water. Bring to boil till half done7. Put the lightly fried hilsa pieces.

  7. Lower heat and cook till done.
