  1. 1 medium zucchini, grated

  2. 1 medium onion, peeled, cut in half and thinly sliced

  3. 1 cup green onions, chopped

  4. 1 teaspoon dried pomegranate seeds

  5. 1 teaspoon cardamom seeds

  6. 1 tablespoon garam masala

  7. 1 cup chickpea flour

  8. 2 tablespoons yogurt

  9. 4 tablespoons water

  10. 1 pinch salt

  11. 2 cups vegetale oil, for frying

  1. Heat oil to 350°F in a deep, heavy pot.

  2. Place all ingredients into a large bowl and mix well. Form mixture into golf ball-sized balls and fry in preheated oil until golden brown, about 5 - 6 minutes. Drain on paper towels prior to serving.
