  1. 2 pkgs pound cake mix (16 oz each)

  2. 2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice*

  3. 2 teaspoon baking soda

  4. 2/3 cup water

  5. 1 3/4 cups pumpkin puree

  6. 4 eggs

  7. Topping:

  8. 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed

  9. 3/4 cup chopped nuts

  10. 1/2 cup flour

  11. 1/3 cup butter

  1. *Use commerical pumpkin pie spice or make according to the pumpkin pie spice recipe .

  2. Combine pound cake mixes, pie spice and baking soda in a large mixing bowl. Add water, pumpkin puree, and eggs; beat on medium speed for 3 minutes. Spread half of batter into greased and floured 9x13-inch baking pan; sprinkle with half of the topping. Carefully spread remaining batter; sprinkle with remaining topping. Bake in preheated 325° oven for 50 to 55 minutes or until a toothpick or cake tester comes out clean when inserted in center.

  3. Topping: Combine brown sugar, nuts and flour in a medium bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or fork until crumbly.
