  1. 1 cup spinach (palak) leaves

  2. 1 cup lettuce leaves

  3. 3/4 cup chawli (cow pea) leaves or other green leaves

  4. 1 small can (450 grams) pineapple tidbits

  5. 3/4 cup paneer (cottagte cheese) cubes

  6. 3/4 cup bread croutons

  7. For the dressing

  8. 100 gms (4 oz.) fresh cream

  9. 1 tsp mustard (rai / sarson) powder

  10. 2 tbsp curds (dahi)

  11. 1 tsp sugar

  12. 1/2 tsp salt

  1. Prepare the dressing by beating the cream and adding the mustard powder, curds, sugar and salt. Warm a little.

  2. Chill the spinach, lettuce and chawli leaves for about 1/2 hour.

  3. Add the pineapple and paneer pieces and croutons.

  4. Pour the warm dressing on top and serve.
