  7. Wash soup bones. Put on aluminum lined tray and brown

  8. in a 400F oven until well browned on both sides. Put

  9. bones in soup pot, drain grease and then get as much

  10. of the browned bits as possible using a little water

  11. to help them along. Add water until the bones are

  12. well covered. Turn on heat. Add carrots, onions,

  13. celery, tomatoes (whatever goes with the soup) some

  14. salt and pepper and let simmer most of the day. Remove

  15. bones and chop what meat there is. Throw out the

  16. vegetables and skim off as much fat as possible (if

  17. left in refrigerator overnight it will come to the top

  18. and get hard and can be removed easily). Put chopped

  19. meat back, add 3 quarts whole tomatoes (mashed), a

  20. couple of cubed potatoes, and about a half package of

  21. frozen mixed vegetables. Let simmer until potatoes

  22. are done and until needed. The soup is better the next

  23. day. Cooked noodles can be added.
