  6. 8 ounces tube pasta

  7. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  8. 2 medium cucumbers -- thinly sliced

  9. 1 medium onion -- thinly sliced

  10. 1 1/2 cups sugar

  11. 1 cup water

  12. 3/4 cup vinegar

  13. 1 tablespoon prepared mustard

  14. 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes

  15. 1 teaspoon salt

  16. 1 teaspoon pepper

  17. 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

  18. Cook the pasta according to package directions; drain and rinse in cold

  19. water. Place in a large bowl; stir in oil, cucumbers and onion. Combine

  20. remaining ingredients; pour over salad and toss. Cover and chill for 3-4

  21. hours, stirring occasionally. Serve with a slotted spoon. Yield: 8-10
