  1. 300 g self-raising Pinch of teaspoon

  2. 2 teaspoons 2 tablespoons caster

  3. 60 g butter or 1 2 teaspoons treacle, golden syrup or maple cup

  1. Sift flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg. Add sugar and rub in butter.

  2. Add egg, treacle and milk and mix to a dough with a beater. Knead well.

  3. Roll dough out with rolling pin, cut out scones and place on tray.

  4. Bake at 250-260C for 10 minutes.
