  1. 1 pound whiting water to cover

  2. 2 sprigs parsley

  3. 2 cloves garlic

  4. 1 tablespoon oil , or more salt and white pepper, to taste

  5. 6 ounces linguine Parmesan cheese

  1. Rinse fish inside and out in cold water. Place into sauce pot with water, parsley, garlic, oil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil. Simmer, covered, 10 minutes. Remove skin and bones. Serve with juices over linguine cooked al dente. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
