  1. 6 oz 170g Semisweet chocolate chips

  2. 2 1/2 cups 365g / 12oz Finely crushed vanilla wafer

  3. 1/3 cup 78ml Sweet red wine

  4. 1/4 cup 59ml Honey

  5. 2 cups 474ml Ground walnuts

  6. Granulated sugar

  1. Heat chocolate chips and honey in 3-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate is melted. Remove from heat.

  2. Stir in vanilla wafers, walnuts and wine. Shape into 1-inch balls; roll in sugar.

  3. Store Chocolate-Wine Balls in tightly covered cookie jar or metal can. Let stand several days to blend flavors. Flavor improves with age up to 4 weeks.
