    1. 1/2c Butter

    2. 3/4c Sugar

    3. 2 Eggs

    4. 1 ts Cherry soda

    5. 1/2ts Salt

    6. 2 c Sifted flour

    7. 1 ts Butttermilk

    8. 1 ts Vanilla

    9. 10 oz Jar Maraschino cherries, Chopped and drained

    1. + Directions : Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9x5x3 inch pan. In a large bowl, combine butter, sugar and eggs; beat with mixer until creamy. Add soda, salt, flour, and buttermilk. Mix on low until blended. Fold in vanilla, cherries, and nuts. Bake 60 minutes. From Ellen Cleary
