  1. 3 eggs

  2. 3/4 cup light corn syrup

  3. 1/2 cup sugar

  4. 3 tablespoons brown sugar

  5. 3 tablespoons orange juice

  6. 2 tablespoons butter, melted

  7. 1 teaspoon grated orange peel

  8. 1/8 teaspoon salt

  9. 1-1/2 cups chopped pecans

  10. 2/3 cup flaked coconut

  11. 1 unbaked pastry shell (9 inches)

  1. In a large bowl, beat the eggs, corn syrup, sugars, orange juice, butter, orange peel and salt until well blended. Stir in pecans and coconut. Pour into pastry shell. Bake at 350° for 50-60 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Cover edges with foil during the last 15 minutes to prevent overbrowning if necessary. Cool on a wire rack. Yield: 8 servings.
