  1. 1/2 cup 99g / 3 1/2oz Butter

  2. 2 tablespoons 30ml Tomato juice

  3. 2 cups 292g / 10oz Grated cheddar cheese

  4. 1 cup 62g / 2 1/5oz Sifted all-purpose flour

  5. 3/4 cup 109g / 3.8oz Chopped pecans

  6. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Red pepper

  7. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Salt

  1. In a large bowl cream together the butter and tomato juice.

  2. Add the remaining ingredients.

  3. Divide the mixture in half and roll into 2 rolls about 12 inches long.

  4. Chill overnight.

  5. Cut the rolls into slices about 1/4-inch thick and arrange on an ungreased cookie sheet.

  6. Bake in a 350F oven for 10 to 12 minutes.

  7. Serves 6 to 8.
