  3. 6 cans of chocolate icing

  4. Red strips of fruit by the foot

  5. M & M plain candies

  6. Plain Hershey bar for chest "lock"

  7. Various items for "treasures"

  8. Swedish fish

  9. gold coins

  10. candy necklaces

  11. candy rings

  1. Preheat oven to 350 and bake (3) 9x13 cakes & one loaf pan cake according to box instructions (Some batter will be left over. Use for cupcakes if you wish). Cool. Empty one 9x13 cake onto a cake board and frost top layer. Empty second 9x13 cake atop first one. Slice loaf pan cake into two diagonally shaped cakes. Position them with points to the back side of cake at right and left 1/3 sections of cake.

  2. To secure, insert wooden skewers into tall part of wedges. Frost top of wedges. Carefully empty out remaining 9x13 cake atop wedges. (Insert more wooden skewers if necessary). Frost cake in a "bricklaying" pattern. With fruit by the foot, lay pieces across top and front of cake to resemble leather straps. Use M & M's beside straps to resemble nail head trim. Add 3 squares of Hershey bar to top and bottom front side of cake for the "lock".

  3. Fill the inside of the cake with lots of candies, edible gold coins, necklaces. etc. and ENJOY!
