  1. 1 can Regular Spam , thinly sliced and fried crispy/pink/brown

  2. 1 can Grands Buttermilk Bicuits , baked light brown

  3. or Make Your Own*/baked Light Brown. Recipe Follows.

  1. Open can regular(flavor of choice) Spam. Rinse under cold water to remove gelatin. Pat dry with clean paper towel. Slice into thick bacon-size strips. Fry in 12-inch skillet in 2 Tablespoons Crisco oil until Spam is light brown and pink.Drain on double-thickness paper towels.Do this while biscuits bake.

  2. Mix up biscuit dough(recipe follows) or unwrap can of Grands Buttermilk biscuit dough. Place biscuits on aluminum-foil-lined baking sheet that has been lightly-greased, at least two-inches apart(unless you like to bake close together)Bake at 450 F. until puffed-up and lightly browned, after 10-12 minutes of baking. Cool 1 minute on pan. Then place on serving plate. Split biscuit in half carefully(very hot) butter and or place fried Spam inside. Eat as is or with fried or scrambled eggs.

  3. * Quick and Easy Biscuits adapted from Diane Hixson's recipe 2 cups self-rising flour*

  4. cup heavy cream or (plain yogurt or buttermilk BAVARIAN Style)

  5. In large stainless steel mixing bowl, stir together with wooden spoon, 2 cups self-rising flour and 1 cup heavy cream(plain yogurt or buttermilk) until dough forms.Place on floured sheet surface of heavy-duty aluminum foil and knead(with floured hands)for 4-5 minutes or until no longer sticky. Pat or roll dough into 1/2-inch thick on floured surface into a circle or rectangle and use floured 2 1/2-inch or 3-inch biscuit or cookie cutter. Place dough on greased cookie sheet or round pan(takes longer to bake) and bake at 450 F. preheated oven for 8-12 minutes or until puffy and lightly browned. Allow to cool on pan at least 1 minute before removing to serving plate or bowl.

  6. * No self-rising flour? Make your own with this easy recipe: 1 Tablespoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 cups all-purpose flour. Stir or sift together into mixing bowl or onto waxed paper. Can pour into plastic freezer zip-lock plastic bag for later use. Attach recipe to plastic bag.Put bay leaf in plastic bag,(repells flour bugs, mites). Store at room temperature in Pantry or freeze for 3 months. (Thaw at room temperature before using.)Taste raw mix to see it needs more baking powder.

  7. Spam is good with Bull's Eye BBQ. Sauce. Shred Spam into thin threads using shredder by hand or electric one and heat in 1/4 cup BBQ sauce and serve on bun. Kind of like pulled pork.
