  1. 3/4 cup butter

  2. 1 1/2 cup sugar

  3. 3 eggs

  4. 1 tsp vanilla

  5. 1 1/3 cups flour

  6. 1/2 tsp baking powder

  7. 1/2 tsp salt

  8. 3 Tbsp cocoa

  9. 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

  10. 4 cups miniature marshmallows

  11. Topping:

  12. 8 ounces (about 1 cup) semisweet chocolate chips

  13. 3 Tbsp butter

  14. 1 cup peanut butter

  15. 2 cups crispy rice cereal

  1. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until fluffy. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa; add to creamed mixture. Add nuts if desired. Spread ingredients in a jelly roll pan; bake at 350 for 15 to 18 minutes. Sprinkle with marshmallows; return to oven for 2 to 3 minutes. Spread marshmallows with a knife dipped in water.

  2. Topping: Combine chocolate chips, butter, and peanut butter in a saucepan; heat, stirring, until melted and well blended. Remove from heat. Stir in rice cereal then spread over cooled bars. Chill.

  3. Makes 3 dozen.
