  1. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Cherries; tart - fresh

  2. 8 oz 227g Cream cheese -

  3. 3 tablespoons 45ml Kirsch

  4. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Vaillla extract

  5. 6 tablespoons 90ml Sugar

  6. 2 oz 56g Almonds - ground **

  7. 2 tablespoons 30ml -- water

  8. 1 cup 237ml Cream - heavy

  9. 12 Ladyfingers

  1. GARNISH Pistachio Nuts; Chopped * Soften Cream Cheese to room temperature.

  2. ** Grind Almonds in the blender, if ground almonds are not available.

  3. Wash and drain cherries. Remove stones and reserve 8 whole cherries for garnish. Place cherries in a bowl; add kirsch.

  4. In a small pan boil 3 T sugar and the water for a minute to make a thin sugar syrup. Add syrup to cherries; stir to blend.

  5. Cover and let soak for 20 minutes. Cut the ladyfingers in half, divide into 4 portions, and place in individual glass dishes. Arrange cherries on top.

  6. Thoroughly blend cream cheese, 3 T sugar, vanilla extract, and ground almonds. Whip the cream and carefully fold it into the cream-cheese mixture. Spoon over the cherries.

  7. Garnish with the chopped pistachio nuts and whole cherries.
