  3. 4 cups green peas, shelled

  4. 2 onions, sliced

  5. 1 cup water

  6. 3 tablespoons butter

  7. Seasonings to taste

  1. Roast the squabs in hot oven for about 10 minutes.

  2. Remove squabs from oven.

  3. Put squabs, peas, onions, water, butter and seasonings in a kettle.

  4. Cover.

  5. Let cook slowly for about 40 minutes.

  6. Then serve.
