  2. 2 pounds ground sirloin

  3. 2 1/2 tablespoons chilled red wine

  4. 2 teaspoons salt

  5. 3/4 teaspoon leaf basil

  6. 1 teaspoon leaf oregano

  7. 3/4 teaspoon pepper

  8. 1/3 cup tomato sauce

  9. 8 slices mozzarella cheese

  1. In a large bowl hand mix the sirloin, wine, salt, basil, oregano, pepper, and tomato sauce. Divide into 16 balls and flatten each. Place the mozzarella cheese on half of the patties and cover each with another half. Press firmly together. Grill over white hot coals for about 5 minutes a side or until the burgers are cooked to taste. Makes 8 burgers.
