  1. 6 medium tomatoes Salt

  2. 2 medium avocados

  3. 2 teaspoons lemon juice

  4. 1 medium onion -- finely chopped

  5. 1 canned whole green chiles -- seeded and finely chopped (1 to 2)

  6. 3 slices bacon -- cooked and crumbled Lettuce leaves

  1. Preparation : Slice off top of each tomato; scoop out pulp, leaving shells intact. Reserve pulp. Sprinkle inside of each tomato shell with 1/8 tsp. salt; invert on paper towels. Chop reserved pulp. Peel, seed, and mash avocados; combine with chopped pulp and next 3 ingredients. Stir well. Fill tomato shells with avocado mixture; sprinkle with bacon. Serve tomatoes on lettuce leaves.
