  1. boxes chocolate Cake Mix 2 2/3 cup water, 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil, 2 original Applesauce (4 oz.), and 5 eggs into mix. Pour into greased & floured (bottom & sides) pans: two 13" x 9" (batter about 1" deep), two 8 inch rounds, and 6 cupcakes. Bake 350F about 30 minutes (varies with oven). Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan; cool completely on racks.

  2. Chocolate Frosting (1 can), and Vanilla Frosting. Divide Vanilla Frosting into 2 separate dishes; Mix desired food coloring into each. (For this cake, I did green & yellow).

  3. Cover 24" x 14" stiff cardboard with foil. Wagon: 13" x 9" flat cake with 4 cupcake wheels. Place on board & frost & decorate. Tractor: Cut other 13" x 9"flat cake lengthwise; Place one piece onto board; frost its top. Place other piece on it, top jutting out over bottom 1" to 1. Join to wagon with flat craft stick. Two cupcakes for tractor's front wheels; 8" rounds on each side for Tractor's back wheels. Frost & decorate.

  4. Push in Red candy mints for Tractor front lights and Tractor & Wagon back lights. Green (or your color choice) mints for 8 hubcaps and steering wheel center. Birthday candles for tractor top pipes. I added a toy steering wheel from toy truck; toy man to drive tractor; 2 hitch-hiking chickens; and a fence piece for wagon back rack. And there it is!
