  14. 1/4 c Chopped nuts

  15. 2 tb Rum

  16. 2 tb Butter

  17. Combine apples with brown sugar,flour,spices and salt.Place in a 9 pastry lined pie plate.Flute edges

  18. of crust.Sprinkle apples with nuts and rum;dot with

  19. butter.Roll out remaining pastry.Cut into 3/4 strips.Arrange strips in a lattice pattern,atop of

  20. 425 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes or until

  21. apples are tender.Cover top of pie with foil part way

  22. through baking time to prevent over browning of crust.

  23. Serve with Rum Sauce. --
