Sally's Texas Chocolate Cake

    1. 2 sticks of butter or margarine

    2. 4 tblspn cocoa

    3. 1 cup water

    4. 2 cups flour

    5. 2 cups sugar

    6. 1 tsp cinnamon

    7. 1/2 cup buttermilk

    8. 2 egg s, slightly beaten

    9. 1 tsp vanilla

    1. Boil together first 3 ingredients Mix together next 3 (dry) ingredients Pour boiling mixture over dry ingredients, beating constantly. Stir in Buttermilk, eggs & vanilla. Mix well. Pout into buttered, floured sheet cake pan (12x9) Bake at 350° for 25-30 mintes. ICING: Boil together: 1 stick butter, ½ cup cocoa, ⅓ cup buttermilk Remove from heat and beat in 1 lb. box powdered sugar until smooth. Add 1½ cup chopped nuts (mom wrote she doesn’t use the nuts very often) Spread over hot cake.
