  1. 2 c Sifted Flour

  2. 1/2 c Cold Milk

  3. 2 ts Baking Powder

  4. 6 x Med Apples, pared & cored

  5. 1 ts Salt

  6. 1/2 c Sugar

  7. 6 tb Shortening

  8. 2 ts Cinnamon

  9. 6 portions. Roll each portion large enough to cover

  10. 1 apple. Place an apple on each piece of pastry. Mix sugar and cinnamon together. Spoon some of this mixture into each core cavity. Moisten edges of pastry and bring up over the apple; seal edges. Place on greased baking sheet or in shallow pan. Bake at

  11. 350 deg F., or until apples are tender and pastry is lightly browned. Remove from baking sheet. Serve warm with milk or cream. --
