  1. 30 ea Dates; Large, Slitted Length

  2. 30 ea Pecan Halves; Small

  3. --BARS-- 1/4 c Butter Or Margarine; Melted

  4. 1 c Brown Sugar; Packed

  5. 1/2 c Sour Cream

  6. 2 ea Eggs; Large, Beaten

  7. 1 t Vanilla

  8. 1 c Flour; Unbleached

  9. 1/4 t Baking Powder

  10. 1/4 t Baking Soda

  11. 1/4 t Salt

  12. 1/4 t Ginger; Ground

  13. 8 ozs worth

  14. 13 X 9 X 2-inch baking pan. Carefully arrange stuffed dates atop batter in lengthwise rows with

  15. 6 stuffed dates in each row. Bake at

  16. 350 degrees F. for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool; cut into bars, allowing

  17. 1 date per par. Sift powdered sugar over the top if desired. Makes

  18. 30 bars.
