  1. 4 pork center loin chops

  2. 1 tablespoon oil

  3. 1 clove garlic

  4. 4 tablespoons chicken broth

  5. 4 tablespoons soy sauce

  6. 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  7. 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper

  8. 2 tablespoons cornstarch

  9. 2 tablespoons water

  1. Trim pork chops of fat. Brown chops in skillet with the oil. Remove chops and saute garlic in oil for a minute, till brown. Set aside. Combine chicken broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper. Place chops in skillet and coat chops with sauce. Cover tightly. Simmer over low heat 30 to 35 minutes. Remove chops and thicken sauce with cornstarch and water. If desired dry sherry can be substitute for chicken broth.
