  1. 5 Fresh red chillies

  2. 1 Onion, quartered

  3. 2 Tomatoes

  4. Salt, to taste

  5. 1/4 ts Shrimp paste, grilled

  6. lightly, or 1 anchovy

  7. fillet

  1. Place chilli, onion and tomatoes in a bowl and steam until tender.

  2. Put in a blender with salt to taste and shrimp paste to make into a very fine paste.

  3. Or pound in a mortar.

  4. Yields 1 small bowl.
