  3. 3 lb beef ribs, cut into 3-inch lengths

  4. 1 onion, chopped

  5. 1 tb butter

  6. 2/3 c catsup

  7. 3 tb soy sauce

  8. 2 tb cider vinegar

  9. 2 tb brown sugar

  10. Place short ribs on a broiler pan. Broil until well-browned to

  11. remove excess fat. Transfer to crockery potSaute onion in butter

  12. until limp and golden. Pour in catsup, soy sauce, vinegar and brown sugar. Heat until blended. Pour over ribs. Cover. Cook on
