  1. 1 cup packed brown sugar

  2. 1 cup whipping cream

  3. 1 cup chopped pecans

  4. 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat stir together brown sugar and whipping cream.

  2. Stir constantly.

  3. Cook until mixture begins to boil.

  4. Reduce heat to a simmer.

  5. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring often.

  6. Remove from heat.

  7. Stir in nuts and Vanilla.

  8. Allow to cool for 1 to 2 hours.

  9. Top cheesecake or apple pie with sauce.
