  2. 1 cup 146g / 5.1oz Chopped inion

  3. 1/2 cup 73g / 2.6oz Chopped green pepper

  4. 1-15 oz 28g Can tomato sauce

  5. 1 1/2 teaspoons 7 1/2ml Salt

  6. 1 teaspoon 5ml Dried oregano

  7. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Pepper 1- oz

  8. 28g Pkg macaroni

  9. 1 cup 146g / 5.1oz Cottage cheese

  10. 1 cup 146g / 5.1oz Shredded cheddar cheese

  11. 1/2 cup 73g / 2.6oz Grated Parmasan cheese

  1. Recipe Instructions Combine beef, inion and green pepper in large skillet. Cook and stir over medium heat until the meat is browned. Drain off excess fat. Stir in tomato sauce, salt, oregano and pepper. Cover skillet, turn down heat and let mixture simmer 30 minutes. Stir occasionally. In the mean time, cook macaroni according to package directions. When it is tender, drain and combine with meat mixture. Stir in cottage cheese and chredded cheese. Blend well and turn whole mixture into a 2 1/2 quart casserole. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes, then sprinkle parmasan cheese over top and return dish to oven for an additional 5 minutes. Serves 8.
