  3. 1/4 cup 36g / 1 1/3oz Chopped fresh basil

  4. 2 tablespoons 30ml Chopped Italian parsley

  5. 1 Dried red pepper flakes

  6. 8 oz 227g Taleggio cheese, rind removed, And flesh diced

  7. 1 Baguette

  1. Recipe Instructions Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Melt the butter in a skillet over low heat. Add the garlic and cook gently until soft and mellowed but not browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and cool slightly. Scrape the butter and garlic into a bowl. Add the basil, parsley, pepper flakes and Taleggio. Mix well. Slice the bread in half lengthwise. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over both cut sides. Set the bread on a baking sheet and bake until bubbly, 15 minutes. Cool slightly before cutting crosswise into 1-inch strips. This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings. Each of 8 servings: 320 calories; 314 mg. sodium; 62 mg. cholesterol; 22 grams fat; 13 grams saturated fat; 19 grams carbohydrates; 12 grams protein; 1 gram fiber.
