  1. 1 pound carrots, cut into 1/2-inch slices

  2. 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion

  3. 3/4 cup mayonnaise

  4. 1/3 cup water

  5. 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish

  6. 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  7. 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs

  8. 2 tablespoons butter, melted

  9. 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  2. In a small bowl, combine the next five ingredients. Pour over carrots. Combine bread crumbs and butter; sprinkle over top. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 25-30 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 2-3 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Yield: 6 servings.
