  1. GUERNSEY GINGER BISCUITS

  3. 120g butter

  4. 90g sugar

  5. 120g treacle

  6. 3 level tsp ginger

  7. grated rind of 1/2 lemon

  8. Cream together the butter and sugar, work in the treacle, add the

  9. lemon rind and beat well. Gradually sift in the flour and ginger,

  10. and work to a soft dough. Form into large marble sized balls and flatten on a greased tray, leave a little room to spread. Bake in

  11. 190 C (375 F) for 15 minutes. leave to cool on

  12. the tray.
