  2. HOT MILK SPONGE CAKE (JVB)

  6. 2 c Cake flour

  7. 2 ts Baking powder

  8. 1/2 ts Salt

  9. 4 Eggs

  10. 2 ts Vanilla

  11. 2 c Sugar

  12. 1 c Milk

  13. 2 tb Butter

  14. Sift flour, baking powder & salt together.

  15. Beat eggs and vanilla together; then gradually add

  16. sugar and continue beating until mixture becomes light

  17. and lemon coloured.

  18. Blend dry ingredients into creamed mixture. Bring

  19. milk and butter to the boiling point; then quickly

  20. stir into batter. Blend well.

  21. 13x9x2 baking pan -- greased &

  22. floured on the bottom only. Bake 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes
