    1. In a saucepan, take water and sugar and place it on the flame to boil. While the saucepan is on the stove, remember to stir the sugar for some time as there are chances that the sugar may adhere to the saucepan. Heat the solution in a low to medium temperature and bring it to a boiling point without stirring. When this is done, break the egg whites in a bowl and pour sugar syrup to it. Beat the mixture with a spoon till it achieves the consistency where it becomes easy to spread the mixture. Add vanilla to this mixture and stir till it blends completely. Once this is done, it is time to spread the frosting on the cake. Pour the mixture over the cake and spread with the back of a spoon. Spread to the sides of the cake and crease when the frosting becomes firm. You can decorate the cake with candied cherries, nuts, etc.
