  1. 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  2. 1/2 teaspoon course salt

  3. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

  4. 7 tablespoon unsalted butter , room temperature

  5. 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  6. 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar

  7. 1 large egg , room temperature

  8. 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  9. 3 tablespoons sour cream

  10. 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips

  11. 3/4 cup white chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven 350°. Whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. Beat butter and sugars with a mixer on medium-high until pale and fluffy, 3-5 minutes. Beat in egg and vanilla. Reduce speed to low. Add flour mixture in two batches, alternating with sour cream, and beat until combined. Stir in chips by hand. Cover and freeze for 10 minutes.

  2. Using a tablespoon, drop dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Spacing about two inches apart. Flatten slightly. Bake until centers are set and cookies are pale golden brown, 12-14 minutes.
