  2. 2 cup(s) packed dark brown sugar

  3. 1 cup(s) butter or margarine , softened

  4. 1/2 cup(s) apple juice

  5. 2 teaspoon(s) ground ginger

  6. 2 teaspoon(s) ground cinnamon

  7. 2 teaspoon(s) baking soda

  8. 1 teaspoon(s) salt

  9. 1/2 teaspoon(s) ground allspice

  10. 1 jar(s)

  11. (8 ounces)

  12. unsweetened applesauce

  13. 3 large eggs

  14. Confectioners' sugar

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 10-inch Bundt pan.

  2. Into large bowl, measure all ingredients except confectioners' sugar. With mixer at low speed, beat ingredients until well blended, constantly scraping bowl with rubber spatula. Increase speed to high; beat 2 minutes, occasionally scraping bowl.

  3. Pour batter into pan. Bake gingerbread 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool gingerbread in pan on wire rack 10 minutes; remove from pan and cool completely on rack. Sprinkle top of gingerbread lightly with confectioners' sugar if you like.
