  1. 2 medium garnet yams, peeled and cubed

  2. 1/2 pound Swiss chard, stalks removed, leaves finely chopped

  3. 1 tbsp organic olive oil

  4. 1/2 tsp sea salt

  5. 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper

  6. 1/2 tsp tumeric

  7. 2 tbsp whole wheat flour

  8. 3 tbsp canola oil

  1. Boil the yams until cooked through. Mash them with a fork.

  2. Steam the chard.

  3. Combine the yams, chard, oil, salt, pepper, tumeric, and whole wheat flour.

  4. Use your hands to shape the mixture into 8 fritters.

  5. Skillet fry in oil for about 7 minutes until cooked through.
