  1. One box fudge brownie mix

  2. 1 tsp. vanilla extract

  3. 1 tsp. almond extract

  4. 1/2 c. walnuts (crushed)

  5. 4 bars of dark chocolate

  6. 1tbsp. butter

  7. 1/2 c. powdered sugar (To resemble Snow)

  1. Make brownie batter according to pkg. directions Add the extracts and walnuts stir, until chunky In a double boiler add butter and chopped pieces of the chocolate bars stir until smooth taking a tablespoon, drop batter onto a lightly greased ( I use baker's joy)

  2. 9x13 sheetpan bake in oven at 350 degrees until inserted toothpick comes clean Let cookies cool on wire rack (about an hour)

  3. When cooled, gently dip each cookie in candy place each cookie on plate lined with waxed paper put in frig until candy is hardened.

  4. I serve these on a 'turkey platter dusted with the powdered sugar to look like fallen snow and place cookies loosely around each other Also, makes a great gift!

  5. For Gift-giving:

  6. place colored plastic wrap in a cookie tin lightly dust the cookies with the powdered sugar wrap a pretty ribbon onto cookie tin SPECIAL NOTES:

  7. I did forget how much this made, I think three dozen?

  8. but it is at the baker's discretion how much he/she uses If you don'have a double-boiler , any small saucepan will do I will add photo when I make these!in time for Christmas
