  1. Whole wheat flour 2 cups

  2. Mustard seeds 1 tsp.

  3. Toor Dhal 1 cup

  4. clove 1

  5. cardamom 1

  6. cinnamon 1

  7. Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp.

  8. Red chilli Powder 1/2 tsp.

  9. Tamarind paste 2 tsp.

  10. Salt 1 tsp.

  11. Garam masala 1 tsp.

  12. 2 tsp.

  13. Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp. (Salt and sugar to taste)

  1. Wash and cook the thoor dhal in a pressure cooker for 10 minutes, until soft.

  2. Combine the wheat flour with turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt and make a firm dough with a little water. Keep aside.

  3. Heat oil in a large sauce pan add the mustard seeds, whole spices and green chillies.

  4. Pour the cooked dhal in to the sauce pan and add the chilli powderand turmeric powder 5. Mix tamarind paste in ½ cup of water and add 6 Add salt and sugar to taste, simmer on low heat.

  5. Roll out the wheat dough into small chappatis, cut into strips and add to the dhal 8. Simmer for 10 minutes. Garnish with chopped green coriander and crushed roasted peanuts and cashew nuts.
